GDMS has an immediate opening for an experienced Electrical Computer-aided Design (CAD) Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to design, develop and manage CAD solutions for GDMS.

The Electrical CAD Engineer will possess a thorough understanding of the design and documentation requirements for Printed Circuit Boards. The qualified candidate must possess technical experience generating designs for digital signal and high speed digital signal processing, hi-frequency radio frequency, Double Data Rate (DDR) 2, 3 and 4 memory, and high current applications. In addition, the candidate must have experience designing for high vibration and high-G environments and work closely with electrical, mechanical and manufacturing engineers to ensure concurrence with Design for Manufacturablity and Design for Test practices and standards.
Responsibilities include participating in a team environment and assisting to coordinate with programs at multiple locations to appropriately schedule and staff PCB layout resources from our organization. Additional tool support is required to ensure symbol and cell consistency within the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) tool library and proper interfaces are supported to external services and tools.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.
