Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or field or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 0 years of relevant experience
General Dynamics Mission Systems' User Experience Design team loves what they do. We are looking for a User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) Designer who shares our love for great design, has a strong background in UX for multiple platforms, loves research and data, and is a quick-thinking problem solver who works well with all types of people in an environment that encourages diversity of thought.
The ideal candidate would possess the following experience:
Have between 2-5 years of User Experience Design experience, or a related role that incorporated user research with interaction/graphic design
Basic understanding of web & mobile technologies as they relate to creative concept development, interaction, and experience design
Passion for UX design, visual design and learning new methods of designing digital experiences
The successful candidate must have the ability to:
Pursue constant learning about new trends, methodologies, and technologies in UX
Seek to improve yourself through feedback and learning from others
Produce fully annotated wire-frames and functional specifications
Be a User advocate:
Work collaboratively with other designers, researchers, developers, business leaders and engineering teams through all phases of a project
Partner with research team members, and conduct user research to better understand the user, and test the usability of features and conceptual designs
Justify your design decisions with qualitative and quantitative user research methods
On a daily basis the UI/UX Designer will:
Wire-frame, prototype, brainstorm and create
Communicate and prototype interactions rapidly at varying levels of fidelity
Demonstrate a solid understanding of user-centered design principles and modern UX/UI patterns
