Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities for this Position

GDMS has an immediate opening for a Supply Chain Systems and Solutions Team Member.  The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services.  GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.



  • Manages relationship with Supply Chain and Information Technology (IT) staff to support and enhance existing Supply Chain systems
  • Analyzes, optimizes and automates business processes and evaluates impact on Supply Chain systems
  • Works diligently with IT organization to develop, test and implement software tools and platforms including tool documentation
  • Supports day-to-day Supply Chain systems issues and solutions
  • Meets with varying functional organizations to analyze process inefficiencies and suggests system solutions
  • Develops concise reporting to management / peers
  • Builds and publishes customized interactive reports and dashboards, report scheduling using business intelligence tools like Microstrategy, Cognos, or Tableau



  • Experience in software applications and supply chain management processes as well as working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Knowledge of supply chain applications
  • Solid understanding of purchasing requirements
  • Works well with peers to collaboratively find solutions
  • Ability to act with little daily instruction on tasks
  • Exhibits knowledge on how IT solutions are constructed
  • Experience importing tables and ad hoc data to create business relevant reports for end-users
  • Experience creating use cases, acceptance criteria and test plans/cases
  • Solid, proven experience in a procurement environment
  • Strong oral & written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Limited business travel may be required
