Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Management or Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities for this Position

GDMS has an immediate opening for a Senior Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist at out Scottsdale, AZ facility.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.


-Provides ILS input to project/program plans and deliverables
-Defines, reviews and analyzes system requirements for enhancements/modifications for supportability
-Supports other disciplines for program/project resolutions/enhancements
-Leads the ILS review, development and modification of procedures and products for projects/programs
-Performs duties and responsibilities as the ILS functional area lead on process improvement teams and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
-Provides ILS functional area inputs (technical and cost) to proposals
-Selects and develops employees who will strengthen the overall ILS team mix is skills and experience
-Develops ILS inputs for supplier requirements and Statement of Work (SOWs)
-A key participant in the creation and modification of internal/external procedures and policies
-Leads ILS requirements negotiations with subcontractors/suppliers
-Develops ILS technical and cost inputs to proposals
-ILS Lead the review/development/modification of products and procedures for one or more projects
-Collaborates with other IPTs to review system requirements for project enhancements/modifications
-Directs internal audits and development/review of corrective action plans
- Has overall responsibility to assure workflow meets program and customer delivery requirements
-Functions as the ILS technical expert within the ILS organization
- Provides ILS expertise to multiple projects
-Performs Cost Account management (CAM) tasks for projecting and controlling budgets
-Manages members of the ILS staff in support of projects/programs, managers and coworkers. internal and external customer/government; subcontractors and suppliers
within and between IPTs, upper management levels, contract and subcontract management to ensure ILS inputs are covered
-Accomplishes Defense Acquisition University (DAU) courses
-Specialize in tasks and responsibilities of one or more ILS elements.
-Recognized ILS technical expert
-Reports to an ILS Management
-Designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life
- Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution
-Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line
-Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments
-May supervise the activities of others

-May be required to travel

-Demonstrated knowledge of the ILS elements is required
-Demonstrated knowledge of Acquisition Logistics (a multi-functional technical management discipline associated with influencing design for supportability and planning the support infrastructure for a system by focusing on the integrated logistics support (ILS) elements and working with and across all IPTs
-Demonstrated knowledge of Logistics Elements including: Maintenance Planning, Manpower and Personnel, Training and Support, Technical Data, Support Equipment, Computer Resources Support, Supply Support, Packaging Handling Storage & Transportation (PHS&T), Facilities and Design Interface, reliability, maintainability and availability (RM&A), how they interact and how they are applied across a program, their effect on a system, plus how a systems' design and changes affect the ILS elements

-Demonstrated knowledge of WBS, IMP/IMS, EVMS; creates inputs and manages status
-Demonstrated knowledge /understanding of GDC4S business procedures, processes, and policies
-Demonstrated understanding of ILS both conceptually and at the performing level for all ILS functional areas
-Ability to lead other disciplines for program/project resolutions/enhancements
-Extremely effective communication skills both written and verbal
-Ability to multitask consistently on single or multiple programs
-Ability to diffuses conflicts easily and looks to resolve the issues
-Expertise in various ILS software applications
-Demonstrates exceptional leadership capability consistent with a team-based work environment

Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
