Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.


Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is REQUIRED at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a C2BMC Deputy O&M SITE LEAD at SHAW AFB, South Carolina.The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.


Position will be located at Shaw AFB in South Carolina and report to the Shaw Site Lead. This position is responsible as the Deputy Lead/Subject Matter Expert for a team of Subject Matter Experts and all C2BMC systems (hardware and software) on site. Candidate will fill-in for the Site Lead in their absence and in sharing site responsibilities as assigned. Position requires the ability to manage multiple projects, interacting and coordinating with various intra/inter Missile Defense Agency related organizations to include attending conferences and briefings on behalf of C2BMC Operations on site. Candidate must also possess the ability to brief both program management and customer leadership. Position is 8x5 but will require off-hours support dependent upon test and real-world events or any issues that arise at site.


  • Moderate experience in Project Management, Planning, technical troubleshooting and resource management
  • Experience with operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environment
  • Previous experience in Systems Administration/Engineering in an O&M environment
  • Effective communications in ability to brief technical system and network issues and overall system reports to program management and customer leadership using appropriate tools such as Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint
  • Candidate must be a self-starting program solver with the ability to work with military and civilian personnel in a potential high stress situation with limited supervision


Previous experience and sound knowledge of C2BMC System or Missile Defense Generator and HVAC and overall facilities coordination experience • Knowledge of COMSEC and COMSEC loading devices • Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI) maintenance and operations supporting data link configurations and modifications that include: Satellite TADIL J (STJ), MIL-STD-3011C, and overall Link 16
