Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

 

To be considered for the position the candidate must also possess five (5) years of experience in two (2) of the following areas:

 

  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining software testing techniques and practices. Developing test plans and procedures for unit, integration, system and regression level tests.
  • Developing test plans and procedures for unit, integration, system and regression level tests
  • Defining, training, and leading the testing process definition and documentation.
  • Performing integration, system, and regression level tests, and evaluate and document test results.
  • Mapping requirements to unit, integration, and system tests (requires working knowledge of DOORS).
  • Script writing using Perl, Python, Bourne shell, C shell, or other proprietary scripting languages.


CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a TEST Engineer (Telecoms). This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

 

The Candidate must posses five (5) years of Experience in planning, developing, and implementing testing activities. The primary focus will be testing of (but not limited to) software applications. Software testing and system testing experience is required with knowledge of software system integration.
