Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or the equivalent is required. In addition, Related Vocational Training plus a minimum of 3 years administrative or business experience, or a minimum 5 years of administrative or business experience is required.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Administrative work experience supporting an executive
  • Possess strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads in a business environment
  • Advanced computer skills using Outlook, Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • A demonstrated attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills and flexible work approach to ensure deadlines are always met and expectations are always managed

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • High ability to exercise independent problem solving and decision making with a high degree of initiative and self-coordination
  • Experience arranging complex travel, meetings, catering, and general office organization

 

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Administrative AssistantThe position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

 

Responsibilities include maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating conference rooms.  In addition, will be required to prepare and coordinate correspondence, assist with in-processing of new employees, maintain staff seating assignments/coordinate moves, and other tasks as needed.  Must maintain interpersonal relationships with employees at all levels of the organization and ensure leadership is aware of issues that require immediate attention.
