Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.

The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Represents the production and material planning function on concurrent engineering teams
Compiles and monitors monthly production schedules
Creates complex material structures in the material planning tool
May coordinate the development of material proposals
Identifies process flow improvements and implement
May lead a team of material handlers on a large program
Interfaces periodically with supply chain or suppliers on delivery issues and problem resolution
Mentors junior employees
Prepares labor and material forecasts as requested
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Solid understanding of the material planning tools
May require understanding of earned value management and/or product costing as job requires
Ability to manipulate data in the material planning tools
Solid understanding of bill of material concepts and methodologies
Solid understanding of the proposal process for both material and labor estimating
Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office tools
Grasps and applies new information quickly
Ability to handle complex assignments
Ability to effectively represent functional area on program teams
