Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business equivalent strongly preferred.

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for a Billing Department Assistant to join our Customer Billing team. The position provides an opportunity to work closely with and support a collaborative team in a variety of administrative duties. The selected candidate will work with the Customer Billing department to support the financial performance of the GDMS organization and its clients. Key Responsibilities
The Billing Administrator plays a key role within the Customer Billing department. This individual will perform a variety of duties in support of an extremely fast paced and customer focused team.  Key responsibilities include generation and distribution of financial reports using office automated systems to input data, generate reports and respond to inquiries.  Maintain records, files, logs and data retrieval systems.  The Administrative Assistant-Finance will provide support to the Billing staff as it pertains to new project set-up, closeout and record maintenance. 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed records and prepare required reports with accuracy and efficiency
  • Practice creative thinking and ideation to advance our department's performance
  • Create department calendars, schedule meetings, filing, mailing, various data entry and records scanning
  • Support programs, projects and practices behind the GDMS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures

Candidates must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, and must be extremely detail-oriented, organized, highly motivated and dedicated to supporting the GDMS team.  Candidates must be able to effectively set and change priorities as needed and efficiently multi-task in a busy work environment.


Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business equivalent strongly preferred.
