    Responsibilities for this Position

    General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Advanced Manufacturing Technician. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.



    • Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in developing process procedures, assembly instructions, process set-up, preventive maintenance and/or calibration tasks
    • Uses sophisticated programs/software to author and issue work plans and/or collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment
    • Determines and develops methods and procedures to execute, control, or modify the manufacturing process
    • Familiar with execution of statistical process controls 
    • Troubleshoots manufacturing systems and process issues to root cause; seeks out opportunities for process improvement
    • May conduct experiments and tests within assembly, fabrication or processing operations to support engineering and reliability analyses
    • Evaluates new processes, equipment and materials in conformance with engineering specifications to isolate problems and meet components, products, and systems requirements
    • Prepares records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering and takes actions to improve yield problems or test new products 
    • May install, qualify, maintain, and repair line manufacturing equipment
    • Handles unexpected demands and adapts to new situations 


    • Influential with others and demonstrates superior communication and collaborative skills consistent with expectations for position
    • Considerable knowledge of computer software applications used in a manufacturing environment
    • Considerable problem solving skills
    • General subject matter expertise in assigned area
    • Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude

    KEY PREFERRED SKILLS: Wire, Ribbon, and Ball Bonding; Micro Electronic Packaging methods and processes. Comfortable with Micro scope work in a clean room environment. Machine Programming, process development

    Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
