Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.

The individual in this position will work in a highly collaborative environment with peers, associate contractors, military personnel and senior government personnel supporting a classified program at NBK, Bangor WA. The selected candidate will have Electrical and Mechanical Engineering experience and/or experience as a System Administrator in a Microsoft Windows environment. They will assist with the repair and upgrade activities on a classified system. This will include software updates, hardware refreshes/modifications, and electrical and fiber testing.

Additionally, the individual will have either been a Certified Navy Instructor or have experience in personnel training processes and or techniques. They may function as an instructor and/or training facilitator, to include working with the management team to schedule training and training exercises. They may develop and/or modify course content, learning objectives and prepare course lesson plans and student manuals. Evaluates training materials and procedures and/or recommends revisions to these materials and procedures in order to insure that training courses remain current and compliant with prevailing standards and mission objectives.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Participates in electrical requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis (e.g. timing, power, etc.), design, integration, and verification of electrical components, equipment and systems
Applies principles and techniques of Electrical Engineering
Performs electrical engineering root cause analysis for electrical issues, conducts experimental tests, evaluates results to formulate and implement solutions to issues
Participates in electrical reviews of electrical components, equipment and systems
Evaluates vendor capability to support product development
Applies a good understanding of the organizationally defined electrical processes used throughout the lifecycle of the program or project
Supports the generation of engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the electrical development life cycle
Contributes to the research and analysis of data, such as customer design proposal specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
Plans sub tasks for activities described above
Generally works with multiple work groups
Generally works on problems of moderate scope under general supervision
Generally has contact with project leaders and Program Managers
May have some contact with external customers
Failure to accomplish results or errors may cause delays or require the allocation of additional resources
May develop uniform installation, operation and test procedures
Conducts system repairs and upgrade tasks (software, hardware, electrical testing and fiber testing) while ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with quality and productivity standards.
Assist in the development of administrative of site training materials and technical manuals in support of new hardware and software installations

CompTIA Security + certification, required within 6 months of obtaining position
Navy Certified Trainer or be knowledgeable in Training standards and processes
