Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a HBSS SECURITY SPECIALIST. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
This HBSS position will involve all phases of the System Development Lifecycle for this Cyber technology. This position will be responsible for the design, architecture, development, integration, unit test, installation, configuration, integration, deployment and maintenance to include: HBSS components, ePO and Win/RHEL Point Products. Maintain the latest HBSS configuration, host agents and policies to enforce host-based security on system servers/work stations. Perform regular required reporting, monitor applicable security resources for updated requirements and compliance directions
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Required - experience with implementation, deployment and sustainment of HBSS to include: ePO and Win/RHEL Point Products. This HBSS position requires security engineering skills with a working knowledge of Cybersecurity. HBSS administration experience on Win and RHEL systems is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required with a demonstrated ability to support complex organizational relationships. Must have experience in security architecture design, security Audit tools, security requirements generation, security testing, and hardening workstations and servers. Excellent technical document preparation skills and verbal communications are required for presentation of technical information assurance issues and reports to senior management. VM integration experience is highly desired.
PREFERRED DEGREE TYPES AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree (engineering related) and DoDI 8570 certification (GSEC, Security+, SCNP, SSCP) or higher. CISSP Certification is highly desirable
