    Responsibilities for this Position

    General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies, a division of General Dynamics Mission Systems, operates a satellite communication equipment design and manufacturing facility in State College, Pennsylvania.  The State College facility is an energetic and dynamic organization dedicated to building the highest reliability uplink and downlink equipment in the satellite industry.  With a long history of innovation and a global customer base, the State College facility continues to expand its product offerings and increase its market share around the world.  As SATCOM Technologies grows, we continually seek motivated and talented employees to join the team.



    Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment to manufacturing
    Performs Project Kitting according to detailed instructions
    Packages and prepares materials for delivery to the designated program and manufacturing locations
    May prepare and maintain records of material shortages to manufacturing
    Performs Cycle counts and inventory verification of parts based on information provided
    Distribute received from stores to manufacturing areas
    Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift
    Communicates with coworkers and internal customers
    Performs single or limited number of core tasks of a routine nature within team
    Receives detailed instructions on assignments
    Performs limited data entry

    Ability to acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks
    Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment/decision-making
    Ability to read, and understand and follow department policies and procedures
    Ability to obtain necessary certifications as required by specific job requirements
    Basic organizational skills
    Good communications skills, both verbal and written
    Good customer service skills
    Basic team participation skills
    Ability to develop basic knowledge of the enterprise software tools as required by job
    Receives detailed instructions on all work
    Works under close supervision
    Awareness of continuous improvement initiative
