    Responsibilities for this Position

    The GDMS Information Technology (IT) organization has an immediate opening for an experienced Remedy Application Admin/Developer to join our growing IT team for our Remedy 9.1/MyIT 3.3 Environment supporting over 13000 employees. In this role, the Remedy Application Admin/Developer will report to the Business Operations Application Manager and will work across the GDMS organizations, interfacing with system administrators, analysts, developers, engineers, project managers, and all levels of management. This is a dynamic growth opportunity within a fast paced IT organization of a world class company.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    The Remedy Application Admin/Developer role will be responsible for supporting our service management platform, working with a team to maintain the system foundational data, supporting system upgrades, optimizing system performance, reviewing integration requirements, participating in solutions design, developing and testing code, resolving issues and supporting issue analysis and resolution.  In addition, the Application Admin/Developer role interacts with application and infrastructure support personnel to build and maintain future and current systems, recommend and enforce coding standards, and support continuous improvements.

     

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Requires 5 years BMC Remedy ITSM Suite Administration experience.
    • At minimum 2 years Smart IT/MyIT/Smart Reporting experience
    • Experience with BMC Remedy Import Tool, Foundation Data Configuration, Remedy Application performance fine tuning, Mid-Tier configuration & troubleshooting, Remedy application Patching & Upgrades
    • Experience trouble shooting and fulfilling service requests and break/fix tickets.
    • Ability to utilize logs to troubleshoot and resolve issues
    • Ability to maintain, create and update technical and functional documentation.
    • Evaluate vendor products and updates in order to determine the best path forward
    • Self-motivated with a strong capacity for finding creative solutions.  Works well with peers and end users to collaboratively find solutions.

     

    Qualifications(Preferred):

    The successful candidate should preferably be able to demonstrate:

    • BMC Remedy Service Level Management Configuration
    • Experience interacting and assisting customers with issues in an ITSM environment.
    • BMC Remedy ITSM Product Suite Upgrade experience
    • Multi-tenant Solution Experience
    • Smart Reporting Administration
    • Involvement in the development, testing, and implementation of software tools and changes
    • Service Request Definition (SRD) Development Experience
    • 2-4 years of functional knowledge of BMC ITSM Remedy Software modules (e.g., Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, SRM, RKM, SLM) in version 8x or greater.
    • A solid familiarity with common software tools like: MS Visio, MS Excel, and MS Project
    • Experience maintaining the integrity and security of servers and systems.
    • Monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
    • Proficient of solutions development methodologies (e.g. DevOps, Agile, Software Development Lifecycle, etc.)

    • Perform other duties as directed.
    • Lead, plan, and execute small initiatives
