  • Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated Product leadership experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations. 

     

     

    Secret clearance required at time of hire. TS/SCI is preferred. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

     

    Required knowledge and experience in the following areas: 

    • Demonstrable product management experience in the military or commercial avionics or space market
    • Demonstrated product go-to-market experience
    • Candidate must have a vision and be able to clearly share that vision with others
    • Candidate must possess strong leadership skills in program execution, team building, and customer relationship management and business development
    • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills for a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences including senior stakeholders
    • Strong knowledge of financial reports, business and operational metrics to ensure maximum business impact to drive optimal decision-making
    • Candidate must have a proven track record of developing trusted customer relationships

    The Cyber and Electronic Warfare Systems (CEWS) Line of Business of General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Program/Product Manager to lead all aspects of a Program and Product Portfolio within the Space and Avionics Encryption Programs business area.  Candidate would be responsible for overall product contribution to the business unit. This includes from increasing the earnings from existing products to developing new products to address market needs.  Act as the internal and external evangelist for your products.

     

    As an integral part of the Business Area leadership team the Program/Product Manager must be able to lead and inspire their team and portfolio comprised of several critical, leading edge encryption programs, innovative products and a highly skilled team supporting IC and other customers in the space and avionics markets. They should expect and inspire high levels of performance by the team. This person should have experience leading the deployment of capabilities to support mission critical systems worldwide for our national assets and leads the interaction with target markets to develop new product ideas and bring them to market.

     

    The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in product management and production programs. We seek proven leaders, capable of coalescing a team to execute short and long-term plans for the organization. Demonstrable skills in product and program management, business development, customer relations, and financial management are required. The Program/Product Manager is responsible for ensuring successful program execution and achievement of operating targets, with a high-level of proficiency in applicable technical concepts. This individual will have at least 15 years of demonstrated leadership, preferably including defense contracting, and successful management of at least $25 million programs or yearly product sales.

     

     

    Qualifications: 

    Desired skills/experience/leadership traits:

    • Substantial knowledge of products and technologies including current and potential applications
    • Substantial knowledge of target customer markets
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
    • Pragmatic Marketing Certification (PMC-II or higher) preferred
    • Ability to generate cohesive product roadmaps and program plans
    • Established working relationships within the IC and DoD
    • Collaborative and inclusive leader of small entrepreneurial teams
    • Empower teams that think and act like startups
    • Candidates must  be comfortable delegating responsibility, but must be accountable

    • Working Knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
    • This position requires travel to customer and non-customer locations
