    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.


    Department of Defense Secret clearance required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    Responsibilities for this Position

    General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Quality Engineer. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.



    • Demonstrating thorough knowledge of quality management system requirements and flow down of requirements to the team.
    • Interpreting T9001B and program requirements, interfacing with Customers, Program Management, Engineering and Manufacturing.
    • Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary
    • Ensuring Qualification of equipment and processes are executed prior to use for repair processes
    • Reviews Documents/Instructions for conformance to requirements
    • Collects, organizes and analyzes project data, generates and/or reviews metrics
    • Performs audits, assigns corrective action, and verifies implementation
    • Participates in project reviews and meetings including technical design reviews, technical peer reviews
    • Verifies compliance to defined requirements
    • Witnesses and or monitors test activities
    • Contact with multiple work groups
    • Works under general supervision
    • Interfaces with various engineering disciplines, manufacturing, program management, and other quality personnel
    • Some contact with project leaders and other professionals within the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality departments
    • Works as an individual technical contributor on one or multiple project
    • Participates as an active member of the project team
    • Interfaces with customer representatives
    • Provides resolution to problems of moderate scope
    • Travel may be required
    • Security clearance required

    • Considerable knowledge of engineering (i.e., software, electrical, systems, etc) methodologies, tools, and standards
      Considerable knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 Rev. D, CMMI, ISO 14001ASME, ANSI, EIA, etc.
    • Strong knowledge of T9001B
    • Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
    • Considerable written and verbal communications skills
    • Ability to think creatively
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Considerable skill in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions
    • Considerable ability to clearly recognize and report relevant to sound quality engineering practices
    • Considerable knowledge of interpretation of drawings
      Considerable skill in reviewing documents/drawings/instructions for conformance to requirements techniques
    • Considerable skill in reporting quality activities, findings, and issues both in writing and verbally
    • Considerable interpersonal skills
    • Considerable knowledge of use of relevant inspection/measurement tools and techniques
    • Considerable computer skills, both desktop software and required factory or engineering tool
