    Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field is required (or equivalent experience), plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree. Agile experience preferred.

    Responsibilities for this Position

    GDMS has an immediate opening for a Modeling and Simulation Software Developer for BMDS C2BMC Model. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.


    Candidate will be responsible for developing software components of a large simulation system in a small team environment.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • design
    • implementation
    • integration
    • testing (as well as, support of the software development life cycle with peer reviews documentation and configuration management adhering to the project level process plans).


    • Recent development experiences in C++, OOD, OOP, XML, UML, JAVA required
    • Candidate must have experience in OOD and OOP using C++ and Java on a UNIX/Linux platform
    • Experience in developing missile defense simulations, and executing state machines desired
    • Consideration will be given for BMDS element specific Modeling and Simulation experience
    • Additional emphasis give for experience modeling C2 or BM systems
    • Experience addressing SW Risk Management Framework findings will be given additional consideration

    Recent experience developing C++ software in a UNIX/Linux environment is a requirement for this position. We are also looking for developers familiar with the BMDS systems and with experience in C2 or BM modeling. Consideration will be given for development experience with on or more of the systems providing stimulation to the C2BMC system. Demonstrated ability to work across MDA with model developers from other BMDS programs desired.


    The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment. Applicant should have a thorough familiarity with Microsoft Office product. Experience with MatLab as an analysis tool and scripting languages such as Perl and Python will be helpful. Advanced degree desired.

    Department of Defense SECRET security clearance is REQUIRED at time of hire.
