    Responsibilities for this Position

    General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Contract Administrator .  The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

     

    As a member of the GDMS Contracts Compliance and Operations department, the selected candidate is a primary contributor to the achievement of excellence in GDMS contract lifecycle management and execution by performing contract review and internal audits, data call management, facilitating analysis of business process management data, metric reports and Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) reviews and routings. This position will include Oracle financial system data entry as well as opportunities to develop and offer guidance/consulting and training on accurate and complete contract data in the Oracle financial system. 

     

     

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    An entry-level position in a field of contract management

    • Independently, proactively, and accurately complete regular contract reviews, conduct internal audits, and make recommendations for improvements.
    • Resolve contract-specific data issues pertaining to contract terms, conditions and government regulations to include collaboration with Contracts Professionals, other GDMS functions and senior management to ensure that contract lifecycle data conforms to all reporting requirements.
    • Develop, monitor, and report on key metrics to foster contract compliance and accurate contracts data.
    • Contribute to the development of training materials to support Contract systems and tools.
    • Process and support OCI vettings among impacted GDMS and GD entities.
    • Provide surge support, as needed, for special projects.



    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Maintain impeccable electronic records per GDMS and department protocol.
    • In support of overall Contracts Compliance and Operations department goals, develop/ implement process-improvements and contribute to high-priority projects.
    • Coordinate and respond to Contracts data calls in a timely manner, as assigned.
    • Display initiative, exercise independent judgment, and professionally execute projects with little direction.

    • Ability to multi-task effectively.
    • Flexibility to prioritize/re-prioritize with changing goals.
    • Proven ability to initiate and successfully implement new ideas that increase organizational efficiency.
    • Good computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office)

    PREFERRED LOCATION:   McLeansville, NC.  Other GDMS major sites may be considered.
