REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
The Senior Principal Technologist will possess in-depth experience in semiconductor component qualification and reliability testing and have a solid understanding of radiation effects in integrated circuits and its effect on system design. S/he will support the selection and qualification of semiconductor technologies (custom and COTS) to support Digital Signal Processing (DSP) designs for hi-reliability space-based communications systems.

The Senior Principal Technologist position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering, Computer Science or a related specialty or the equivalent experience, and a minimum of ten years of related experience. A Master’s Degree in related specialty and a minimum of eight years of related experience is preferred.
The successful candidate must have detailed understanding of semiconductor reliability testing methodologies, relevant industry standards (JEDEC), risk factors and how to analyze for them, troubleshooting and failure analysis of complex semiconductor failure modes, root cause and reliability risk assessment. S/he will possess a fundamental understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes, device physics, chip design architecture, DFR/DFM methodology and have familiarity with Semiconductor Suppliers and Semiconductor foundries in the following areas: Commodity spaces, road-maps, qualifications, process changes, industry and market drivers, etc.
