    Associate's degree is required plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.


    Department of Defense Secret security clearance is not required at time of hire but must be obtainable within 24 months of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    Responsibilities for this Position

    General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced Integrated Logistics Technician in support of United States Navy (USN) Electronic Warfare (EW) systems.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.


    Performs specific administrative and technical ILS tasks
    Assists in the review and update technical material to improve efficiency and clarity to support the ILS work team Assists in development efforts for new and revised product and programs by supporting senior team members
    Assists in the documentation of complex specifications, requirements, contracts, policies, standards and practices
    Assists with improvising, adapting and creating operating procedures to enhance quality, cycle time and customer satisfaction by supporting senior team members
    Supports multiple tasks and assignments
    Associates with other departments and participates in cross-functional relationships
    Interfaces with Customers and Suppliers
    Accomplishes Defense Acquisition University (DAU) courses
    Report to an ILS Manager
    Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked
    Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment
    Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components
    May be required to travel (less than 20%)

    Familiarity and exposure to Acquisition Logistics (a multi-functional technical management discipline associated with influencing design for supportability and planning the support infrastructure for a system by focusing on the integrated logistics support (ILS) elements and working with and across all IPTs)
    Solid knowledge of one or more Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Elements (supply support; maintenance planning; manpower and personnel; technical manuals; training and training equipment; support equipment; facilities; computer resources support; packaging, handling, storage and transportation (PHS&T); design interface; reliability, maintainability and availability (RM&A), how they interact and how they are applied across a program, their effect on a system, plus how a systems' design and changes affect the ILS elements
    Ability to generate documents, create spreadsheets and accomplish analysis of spreadsheet data
    Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite of products
    Written and verbal communication skills
    Ability to multitask
    Ability to integrate in a team environment
    Solid knowledge of Integrated Logistics software tools


    Degree or equivalent experience with focus on supply chain, one or more elements of integrated logistics, and/or lifecycle supportability preferred.
