Bachelor's degree in Systems, Computer Science, Software or Electrical Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.
Department of Defense security clearance is not required at time of hire but will be needed for the next phase. General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Army Unmanned Aircraft System Control Segment (A-UCS) System/Modeler Engineer. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the entire System Engineering effort including requirement analysis, derivation, traceability, SysML modeling (including use case, block, state, and activity diagram development), test case development, and Software Requirements Specification (SRS) development. Candidates must have experience with Software development efforts and UML or SysML modeling. Candidates must have experience with Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Candidates with Unified Modeling Language (UML) or Systems Modeling Language (SysML) experience including experience with IBM Rhapsody tool suite and other Model Driven Development tool sets are preferred. Experience with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and infrastructure software development is also preferred.
