  • Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

     

    CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

    Department of Defense secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

     

    Responsibilities for this Position

     General Dynamics Mission Systems has an exciting position in our sunny Orlando, Florida location. We are seeking an individual with Senior Integration and Test experience who will technically contribute to the Consolidated Product Line Management (CPM Next) contracts. You will be a part of the development of next generation military intelligence and C2 training environments using Modeling and Simulation.

     

    Job description:

    • Develop, coordinate, and/or conduct functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems
    • Document test plans, procedures and results for formal delivery to the customer
    • Assist with the design, development and implementation of cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software and systems
    • Derive system test requirements from existing system, software and use case requirements
    • Prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and equipment including models and simulations
    • Isolate and document issues and defects
    • Support the generation of technical engineering products by applying the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
    • You may supervise or manage lower level employees
    • Lead technical tasks for medium/large teams or projects
    • Lead small technical proposals and contribute to medium sized proposals
    • Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments
    • Guide the successful completion of major programs and projects
    • Work on advanced applications that may result in new business for the company
    • Prepare and conduct Integration Readiness Reviews (IRRs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and Deployment Readiness Reviews (DRRs)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Possess full understanding and effectively use test engineering concepts, principles, and theories including white box and black box testing
    • Ability to frequently contribute to the development of new and innovative theories, principals, ideas and methods
    • Ability to be a major contributor to the achievement of business objectives
    • Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications
    • Possess knowledge and experience with object oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Must be highly skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions
    • Experience in applying project leadership principles including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Cost Account Management (CAM), and Statistical Process Controls
    • Familiar with Service Oriented Architecture and SOA development & test
    • Experienced with automated testing tools, particularly GUI testing, e.g., ATRT/Protractor
    • Experience with continuous integration and automated build environments, particularly Jenkins and Jenkins plug-ins
    • Experience with development & test tools, especially Eclipse, Subversion, JUnit/JMeter
    • Experience with Apache Ivy dependency manager
    • Experience with Army Military Intelligence systems and their use
    • Experience with Live Training Transformation (LT2) product line development
    • Experience in working with the customer in addressing integration and test issues
    • Experience with Test management tools, e.g., XRay
    • Experience with Agile Methodology, more specific Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
    • Ability to coordinate and execute Government Acceptance Tests (GATs) in the local laboratories and at fielded sites
    • Coordinate and support fielding Integration and Test activities
