    Responsibilities for this Position

    General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Veteran Outreach Recruiter.  The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

     

    The Veteran Outreach Recruiter will work across all GDMS lines of business, recruiting those veterans (military, police, FBI, etc) who are voluntarily leaving their respective service that have highly valuable technical skills, clearance levels, and leadership skills that align with our DOD and Intelligence Community customers. The selected candidate will work closely with the programs, hiring managers, and recruiting/sourcing team to attract and close top talent for GDMS.

     

    REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

     

    • Responsible for developing a strategic approach to establishing a veteran pipeline of talent.
      • Including active outreach to military bases to create relationships with the outprocessing centers, and networking through military, FBI, and other appropriate veteran group associations
    • Responsible for conducting needs analysis of assigned requisitions and aligning opportunities to veterans’ strengths
    • Effectively and efficiently manage candidate flow information to align candidates with the technical recruiters and the iCIMS database, our applicant tracking system
    • Needs experience in developing and maintaining a network of contacts to develop and mature a pipeline of cleared veteran candidates
    • Develop a solid relationship with candidates to intimately understand all aspects of candidate conversion
    • Travel may be required

    • Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline/field and developing working knowledge in multiple adjacent disciplines/fields 




    PREFERRED DEGREE TYPES AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations pertaining to the Human Resources function, as well as a strong ability to work as a team to enhance the General Dynamics Mission Systems' organization.
    • Understanding of social media and new technology.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple demands concurrently.
    • Expected travel ~ 25%
    • Experience with applicant tracking systems, knowledge of iCIMS a plus.
