    Responsibilities for this Position

    General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Talent Management Systems Administrator.  The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

     

    The Talent Management System Administrator will be the primary systems administrator and reports generation expert for the Company.

     

    The Systems Administrator will understand the GDMS Talent Management process, and will be able to provide suggestions for improving and streamlining the process in accordance with the capabilities of the GDMS Tool Suite

     

    REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

    • Configures, implements, and administers Talent Development Tool suite, including User Management and Workflow Maintenance
    • Manages the Talent Development processes using the systems in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, maintaining accurate statuses and documentation within the system
    • Manages enhancement/upgrades via researching, testing and collaborating
    • Partner with functional areas to design, develop and deliver training and development to meet employee and business needs
    • Review processes on regular basis to identify areas for improvement  for efficiency, ease of use , necessity, striving for documented Operational Improvements and achieving cost savings
    • Partner with vendors to maintain contracts, implement and upgrade systems, and conduct required adjustments over time
    • Develops relationships with internal/external stakeholders
    • Engages and collaborates with employees, managers, human resources team, internal/external consultants, vendors, and experts, and other General Dynamics Divisions
    • Pull and provide to leadership regular and ad hoc reports regarding Talent Management system activities and metrics
    • System optimization and user acceptance testing for system and integration
    • Liaison with IT/UX teams on technical activities and user interface
    • Act as Help Desk for system and process questions and interfaces with vendor Help Desk and ticket system
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex user and systems issues including data errors, security, process and integration issues.
    • Serve as an escalation point for system issues reported by users.
    • Ensure that system functionality meet the users’ needs and evaluate requests for changes while analyzing system impact.
    • Ensures data integrity and accuracy of employee and business information through periodic reviews and audits.
    • Maintain documentation of processes, auditing protocols, reports and analyses up-to-date.
    • Provide HR reports and analytics to facilitate effective decision making, both regularly-scheduled and ad-hoc.
    • Actively participate in all project phases including requirements gathering, design, testing and implementation in addition to successful completion of all assigned tasks.
    • Leverage business knowledge and systems expertise to drive process improvements.
    • Participate in identifying and analyzing potential process inefficiencies and recommend enhancements/solutions.
    • Create and update documentation and training/quick reference guides for system upgrades and modifications.
    • Provide appropriate communications as upgrades and modifications occur.
    • Maintain awareness of current/new trends in HRMS and continuously increase both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge through training, user groups etc.
    • Conduct working sessions with clients to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements; ensure client takes advantage of system best practices
    • Work with clients to help convert legacy data into Talent Management systems and assist clients in testing the system solution
    • Travel is required


    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Experience working as a System Administrator for PeopleFluent, Cornerstone and other tools suites preferred
    • Strong experience and background in Performance and Learning Management System applications
    • A seasoned, experienced professional with a proficient full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways
    • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
    • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
    • Proficient ability to build productive internal/external working relationships, understand their business needs, and influences business management
    • Creative, innovative responsibilities requiring advanced decision-making skills
    • Normally receives little instructions on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments
    • Ability to prioritize and successfully meet multiple tight deadlines
    • Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment



    PREFERRED DEGREE TYPES AND EXPERIENCE:

     

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience
