Associate's degree is required or equivalent experience plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Customer Support Technician. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Screens, refers and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers and related systems
May prepare help desk incident reports and assist in hardware and software evaluation
May be internal and external client-focused for company-hosted web-enabled solutions
Performs a variety of duties in support of a computer and/or client service unit
Responds to and diagnoses problems and answers queries regarding computer hardware, software, printers, network and telecommunications systems
Maintains and updates records and tracking databases
Loads and verifies correct operation of software packages, such as operating system, work processing and spreadsheet programs
Provides training and technical assistance to users
Facilitates SRT calls to expedite service recovery and restoration
May monitor, verify configuration, and provide first level triage of networked servers, storage, and other infrastructure devices

General ability to apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks
Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice
May require decision-making but with limited financial implications to the company
