  • Basic Qualifications

    The SIGINT/DNI Network Analyst must have:

    • 10 years of network analysis experience to include non-IP networks
    • 10 years of experience with telecommunications, network management systems and network management protocols
    • Basic data processing skills (scripting in PERL, PYTHON, etc. or equivalent capability)
    • Experience using Wireshark and/or Renoir or similar protocol analysis product
    • Experience in researching and using telecommunications standards (ITU-T Recommendations and IETF RFCs)
    • Strong teaming skills to work with other technical disciplines to include signals analysts, protocol analysts, hardware developers, and intelligence analysts
    • Strong technical writing skills to articulate requirements to ANR developers as well as developers in other organizations including vendors
    • Experience with NSA data repositories BLACKPEARL, xKEYSCORE, NKB, etc.
    • Experience in operating collection front-end systems such as the AST-557, Packet Raptor, AST-128, etc.
    • Ability to diagnose a network protocol using the outputs of standard NSA signals and protocol analysis tools (WIRESHARK, DVT, TAROTCARD, etc.) 

    Education Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or field or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.


    Clearance Requirements:
    Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance with a Polygraph is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    Responsibilities for this Position

    General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a SIGINT/DNI Network Analyst.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.


    Responsibilities for this Position

     Responsibilities to include:

    • Analyzes a variety of information and intelligence relevant to the threats facing the systems, infrastructure, and resources critical to the nation, and develops relevant research studies and recommendations
    • Provides intelligence support for contingency operations, battle staff and operational-level planning, joint and multi-lateral training exercises, and strategic engagement policy throughout the Areas of Operational Responsibility (AOR) and Areas of Interest (AOI)
    • Performs requirements management and/or collection management
    • Analyzes and evaluates methods for performing continuous appraisal of data from sampling, statistical analysis, evaluation, flow processing, and management assessment
    • Researches, develops and/or prepare briefings and analyses which include narrative, tabular and/or graphic materials
    • Develops and disseminates standard operating procedures (SOPs), and validation criteria for personnel, entities, components, and Communities of Interest (COIs)
    • Conducts data mining for unknown linkages in existing information and maintains integrated database tracking system for controlled correspondence
    • Conducts analytical studies of domestic and/or allied military, commercial or civil operations, which may lead to recommendations to improve operational effectiveness in the client organization
    • Exercises judgment in determining methods of attack and defense, techniques to be used, and manner of presentation of results in all phases of analysis
    • Develops and/or prepares briefings, analyses, summaries or after-action reports which may include narrative, tabular or graphic materials
