    Responsibilities for this Position

    General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Program Performance Management Analyst.  The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.


    The PPM support analyst is responsible for providing contract/program cost and/or schedule management and analysis for small IR&D or engineering projects or larger programs in a supporting role
    The analyst will support the development of the project/program time-phased cost and/or schedule baseline within the project/program parameters in conjunction with the project/program team
    The analyst will analyze project/program performance (historical and predictive), monitor the project/program Estimate at Complete and/or schedule completion date, and support recommendations made to project/program management and leads

    The analyst is an integral part of the program team, gathering and organizing data for reviews with appropriate engineers, IPT leads and CAMs in support of the program needs

    The analyst is an individual contributor taking direction from program and functional management and/or team leads
    Work is closely supervised
    Assists in the development of a time-phased budget and/or schedule to meet all contract and program objectives
    Collects and updates program performance data, prepares and analyzes historical and predictive measures, and reviews results and recommendations with program management and program leads
    Maintains and statuses the project/program schedules and records, compiles reports, graphs, charts, and related data in support of program needs
    Identifies and analyzes the project/program critical paths and driving paths to schedule specific milestones
    Assists in coordinating and identifying resources required to meet defined program requirements and reviews results with program management and program leads

    Contributes to discussion related to the root cause analyses and corrective actions
    Assists in preparation of program review documents and customer required documents
    Assists in coordinating contract/program Estimate At Complete (EAC), risk and opportunity, and Management Reserve data with Finance organization as input into business financial commitments
    Supports the update of program time-phased budgets and/or schedules and required documents associated with internal and contract changes and assists in incorporating recommendations for corrective actions, such as schedule revisions, staffing adjustments, and funds allocations
    Supports the tracking of Who Charged reports, PA Task ID updates, WLF/HFT updates, IMS and CAM book updates, and PPM Dashboard updates, if applicable

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office, to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    Earned Value Management and/or scheduing tool knowledge and principles is desired

    Domain knowledge of and experience on Strategic Systems PPM processes and disciplines is desired
