    Responsibilities for this Position

    GPS Source, Inc.,  a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Mission Systems, is a world class innovator and manufacturer of high quality, high performance position, navigation and timing technologies for demanding defense and commercial markets. We currently have a need for an Administrative Assistant supporting our Colorado Springs, Colorado location. Please note this position will start in Pueblo West, Colorado and move to Colorado Springs when the new facility opens.




    • Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment to manufacturing
    • Performs Project Kitting according to detailed instructions
    • Packages and prepares materials for delivery to the designated program and manufacturing locations
    • May prepare and maintain records of material shortages to manufacturing
    • Performs Cycle counts and inventory verification of parts based on information provided
    • Distribute received from stores to manufacturing areas
    • Lifts heavy items 
    • Communicates with coworkers and internal customers
    • Performs single or limited number of core tasks of a routine nature within team
    • Receives detailed instructions on assignments
    • Performs limited data entry
    • Kit Sales Orders
    • Stock Kanbans and update the Procurement Log
    • Deliver or route materials to manufacturing departments, using hand carts, totes, bins, etc
    • Know how to read and interpret a Bill of Material to support kitting functions for “sales orders” and “build assemblies”



    • Ability to acquire job skills and learn company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks
    • Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment/decision-making
    • Ability to read, and understand and follow department policies and procedures
    • Ability to obtain necessary certifications as required by specific job requirements
    • Basic organizational skills
    • Good communications skills, both verbal and written
    • Good customer service skills
    • Basic team participation skills
    • Ability to develop basic knowledge of the enterprise software tools as required by job
    • Receives detailed instructions on all work
    • Works under close supervision
    • Awareness of continuous improvement initiative
