  • Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
    J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883 certification may be required within 30 days of hire

    Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    Responsibilities for this Position

    General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Quality Specialist.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

     

    REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

    •Compares defects against standards and recommend disposition
    •Reviews and dispositions QA documentation
    •Prepares forecasts of incoming parts based on orders

    •Establishes priorities and adjusts as necessary
    •Participates in audits and team meetings
    •Generates and/or verifies traceability information
    •Verifies compliance to defined processing
    •Authors QA processing documentation
    •Interfacing with coworkers and internal customers
    •Assure performance to existing processes and policies, representing customer and monitoring project or program performance

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    Considerable knowledge of Agile concepts and principles

    Considerable knowledge of basic electrical or mechanical technology
    Considerable knowledge of drawing interpretation
    Considerable knowledge of workmanship standards
    Ability to interact with others

    Knowledge of ESD control
    Skill in using PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel)
    Skill in using basic inspection/measurement tools
    Considerable knowledge and understanding of documentation, processing and production paperwork
