  • Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.

     

     

    US Navy Submarine Fire Control Technician (FT) experience is REQUIRED.

     

    Additional Requirements

    Candidate must have Test automation experience using eggPlant software.  Also must be capable of understanding and providing technical evaluation of multiple software baselines. This position requires the ability to multi-task while working independently and within dynamic team environments. Candidates must possess high attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

     

    CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
    Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

     

    Responsibilities for this Position

    General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Test Automation Lead to join our TCS team. The position provides an opportunity to develop and advance the cutting-edge technology that supports our nation’s fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with the government to develop solutions that allow them to carry out submarine missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to deliver end-to-end solutions in mission systems integration, development, and operations support to fleets and the organization.     Key Responsibilities

    The TCS program is looking for a former US Navy Submarine Fire Control Technician (FT), to lead the Test Automation efforts. This testing is in support of the AN/BYG-1 Tactical Control System (TCS) using eggPlant software. Candidates are expected to provide strong work ethic with a passion to deliver high quality products to the US Navy.

     

    Preferred Experience

     

    • Network and system administration and troubleshooting experience in a Linux environment
    • Navy Test & Evaluation (T&E) experience
    • AN/BYG-1 Submarine Fire Control Systems recent experience
