  • Basic Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
    • A minimum of two years in a sales or sales support role.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OR LIMITATIONS:  Must be able to climb stairs and lift minimum of 25 pounds; work on a computer/monitor and conduct business by telephone.



    Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    Responsibilities for this Position

    GPS Source, Inc.,  a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Mission Systems, is a world class innovator and manufacturer of high quality, high performance position, navigation and timing technologies for demanding defense and commercial markets. We currently have a need for an Administrative Assistant supporting our Colorado Springs, Colorado location. Please note this position will start in Pueblo West, Colorado and move to Colorado Springs when the new facility opens.


    STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  To ensure the success of the corporate mission statement through the development of new and existing customers.  Responsible for profitable revenue via inbound and outbound phone and online business.



    • Achieve Commercial revenue targets associated with Commercial sales managers
    • Provide back-up for other Inside Sales and Customer Service personnel
    • Demonstrated technical acumen providing a strong foundation to provide consultative solutions for customers and resolve technical issues
    • Tier one and two technical support ownership
    • Timely submission of defined weekly and monthly reports
    • Continually scan for and report on potential re-sellers and business partners
    • Make recommendations for marketing and trade shows 


    • Learn and stay abreast of current and future products
    • Understand GPSS’ products, services and capabilities and competitor offerings
    • Handle all incoming sales and tech support phone calls and email (non-dealer oriented)
    • Respond to all calls and emails in the same day
    • Quote only list price without prior approval from Commercial Manager or Dir of Sales
    • Notify internal team of any significant opportunities pending or lost as early in the process as possible
    • Engage in outbound calling to fill potential customer pipeline
    • Strong interpersonal sales and customer service skills.
    • Conduct business in a manner to grow and preserve corporate brand


    Preferred Education and Experience:

    • Experience with B2B sales, technical support and CRM software.
    • Three years’ experience integrating, repairing or providing technical support for technology
    • Security Clearance a Plus
