Bachelor's degree in a computer science, information technology, engineering, or scientific field or the equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Advanced ERP/MRP IT Business Systems Analyst. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
The IT Business Systems Analysis role is a blend of traditional Business Analyst and Systems Analyst disciplines. They use their high level of expertise to consult and collaborate with business leaders, IT staff, and other third parties to develop, deliver, and optimize business capabilities. They often act as integrated team leads and facilitate small projects or initiatives.
Solicits and captures desired business outcomes, future strategies, demands, actions, and plans.
Develops recommendations and business case rationales for investment in new or enhancements to the existing MRP/ERP application
Investigates, identifies, analyzes, and captures business systems, process, information, and other forms of detailed specifications & requirements related to the requests
Supports the development and delivery of the solution leveraging knowledge of: business end-users, stakeholders, goals, requirements, current and desired future states
Translates business requirements to related technical specifications and interfaces with other technical staff to design, develop, and maintain solution
May occasionally evaluate Oracle PL/SQL database code, SQL scripts, custom Oracle interfaces and configurations, and even modifying such to some extent
Plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing
Partners with business end-user community and IT staff to refine, tune, train, promote adoption and optimize of the MRP/ERP application environment
Understands organizations, information, systems, policies, processes, metrics, opportunities, challenges, risks, and constraints
Investigates and evaluates alternatives for, and assess feasibility of, improvements in information, technology, process, and/or organizational systems
Performs other duties as directed
Leads, plans, and executes small initiatives
Moderate business travel required
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Prior work experience as a MRP/ERP Business Analyst or MRP/ERP Systems Analyst capturing, analyzing, and translating business requirements, specifications, processes, and business cases is required
Exhibits solid knowledge on how a MRP/ERP application functions.
Has a solid understanding of many MRP/ERP business areas/ business processes. i.e: Contracts, Projects, Manufacturing, Procurement, Human Resources.
Acts with little daily instruction on tasks of diverse scope using a seasoned professional understanding of the Business Systems Analysis discipline
Has a strong track record of being capable of working with significant uncertainty, resistance, barriers, issues and challenges; converting uncertainty into quantifiable impact, risk and mitigating actions
Exhibits a solid knowledge of reading and/or writing Oracle SQL queries for data inquiry and reporting
Exhibits broad experience with software and/or business analysis frameworks, methodologies, and tools
Has the ability to analyze situations, alternatives, proposals, designs, architectures, risks, data, systems, and constructs
Has a solid experience creating user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and test plans/cases
Has a solid understanding of solutions development methodologies (e.g. DevOps, Agile, Software Development Lifecycle, etc.)
Has a strong familiarity with common software tools including MSVisio, MS Excel, SQL tool, and MS Project
Has proven experience developing solutions to a variety of challenging problems of broader scope and complexity, using established procedures
Has a history of providing work direction and leadership to others
Has a history that illustrates flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs and shows exposure to overcoming fundamental change obstacles
Exhibits solid presentation, oral/written communication, and inter-personal skills including the ability to: anticipate, influence & adapt to a wide range of audiences; cultivate relationships and leverage organizational understanding to facilitate decision-making and buy-in
MRP/ERP work experience required. IFS experience preferred, but not required
Oracle SQL experience
