Bachelor's degree in a related field (Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Technical) or the equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Operations Project Lead. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
The Manufacturing Operations Project Lead will be the primary point of contact to Program Management, the program Integrated Product Team (IPT), and the customer when required. This individual will also represent the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects and proposals and be the primary point of contact for cost/schedule performance and resource data management. Execution of the project will include financial tracking and reporting, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), material tracking responsibility and engineering interface. The selected candidate should have considerable knowledge of the other related disciplines (e.g. Engineering, Program Management, etc.) with which the position will work closely.
