  • Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related technical field is required (or equivalent experience), plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Agile experience preferred.


    Candidates should have:

    • Advanced Experience in Oracle, SQL and PostgreSQL as well as Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) data ingestion.
    • Experience developing requirements, designing, developing, building, and analyzing database management systems to include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, metadata and repository creation, database performance optimization and configuration management.
    • Advanced knowledge of SQL, ability to apply SQL creatively to a wide variety of business requirements.
    • Understands complex programming techniques including, but not limited to, programming languages, software development standards, methods and tools (SQL Developer, TOAD, SQL+).
    • Developing PL/SQL Packages including all associated stored procedures and functions.
    • Strong understanding of Software development lifecycle and Secure Code development
    • Leadership experience for small to medium sized technical teams
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
    • Knowledge working in a Linux-based environment including the ability to develop automation and administrative tools with a scripting language such bash, Python or Perl, additional skills in Windows and MacOS is preferred
    • Experience with modern query languages and open source and commercial databases including MySQL, Oracle and MSSQL PL/SQL and shell scripting
    • Experience with Database config, scripts, database performance optimization, metrics, monitoring, reporting

    • Experience with IAVA, security checklists

    • Experience with database design and development including modeling tools such as ERWin. Familiar with data structures, data structure within a DBMS, methods for defining data relationships.



    Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    • Certifications: Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional, MCSA SQL Server 2012, MCITP
