    Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    Responsibilities for this Position


    Hiring Requirements

    • 7+ years of related work experience preferred
    • Demonstrates proficiency with Compare Tool, Checklists, PTC Creo;
    • Knowledgeable in Pro-Cable, Pro-Sheet Metal, AutoCAD, Cadra, PDM Link, Team Center, Mentor Graphics and/or Cable Harness System (CHS) software packages; Demonstrates proficiency and the ability to mentor others in the use of proper drawing formatting;
    • Demonstrates proficiency with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing);
    • Demonstrated ability to take direction, work effectively in a team environment;
    • Ability to adjust with ease to changing priorities, task and assignments.

    Position Objectives, Responsibilities and Duties

    • Investigate and procure data required to achieve design objectives;
    • Work from engineering concepts to create new or modify legacy part or assembly drawings or models and cables harnesses, including wiring lists, routing diagrams, schematics, views, dimensions, notes and materials;
    • Perform simple stack-up’s as necessary, according to engineering specifications;
    • Incorporate design changes on new and legacy designs;
    • Prepare wiring and bill of material lists and routing diagrams, including required views, dimensions and notes and use of CHS;
    • Ensures application of design standards applicable to specific program;
    • Performs G.D. & T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
    • Provides guidance to Draftspersons as necessary.
    • Duties may include Modeler, Detailer, Model Reviewer, and Checker.

    Physical & Environmental Requirements

    • Ability to perform sedentary work more than 50% of the time.
    • Ability to perform computer based work of a close and exacting nature over 70% of the time.
    • Visual acuity:   Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less, ability to adjust eye to bring objects into sharp focus, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to differentiate between all colors in the standard color spectrum.  Three dimensional vision and ability to judge distances and special relationships over 70% of the time.
