  • Basic Qualifications

    Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of information technology.  IT Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline with a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher.  

     

    Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

    Responsibilities for this Position

    General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an IT Intern: Unified Communications Specialist to join our IT team. The position provides an opportunity to be part of the team working with cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions, while simultaneously supporting the business needs.


    The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to ensure General Dynamics Mission Systems and client technologies are functioning as efficiently and securely as possible.     Key Responsibilities

    The Information Technology Intern will assist with various IT initiatives and provide technical support to General Dynamics Mission Systems and our clients.

     

    Responsibilities include: Supporting our voice and video communications across the enterprise. Asist users with the use of voice and video technologies deployed at GDMS sites. Assist the IT team with upgrades, troubleshooting and day to day maintenance of UC systems. Candidate will be expected to model Alignment, Value Creation, Honesty and Trust.

     

     
    Additional Responsibilities

    Support delivery of IT UC services, following established Information Technology policies and procedures specifically CISCO Call manager, Micorsoft Skype for Business and CISCO Telepresence.

    Continue to identify potential areas of continuous improvement
