    In our highly collaborative, global environment, you’ll be involved in every phase of application development lifecycle, consulting and collaborating with business leaders, end user, IT staff, vendors, and other third parties. Essentially, you’ll use development and applications administration/support skills in the configuration, customization, maintenance, and interfacing of Commercial of the Shelf (CoTs) business applications in the GDMS infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include requirements specification, solution design, prototype plans, developing and testing code, solution release, and supporting issue analysis and resolution. We’ll rely on you to design creative prototypes according to specifications, write high quality source code to program complete applications within schedule deadlines and ensure application interoperability with IT infrastructure components while ensuring compliance with wide-ranging information security requirements.

     

    General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a hands-on Windhchill PDMLink Developer. In this position you will participate as a member of a team of Developers and Business Analysts in an ongoing enterprise level implementation.

    • Collaborate with business users and other client teams to convert business requirements into system based solutions focused on the Windchill platform
    • Balance project architectural concerns with those of the enterprise by aligning solution architecture with roadmaps established by the enterprise architecture and assuring that solutions adhere to the enterprise architecture principles.
    • Provide analysis and recommendations when multiple, competing solutions are available
    • Develop Technical Design Documentation to document solutions
    • Liaise with vendors to understand future capabilities and drive enhancements that support IT strategies.
    • Analyze, improve and maintain Windchill based PLM business processes and solutions
    • Communicate with Business Analysts, Solutions Architects and/or vendors to request enhancements or report application improvements/inefficiencies

    What you bring to the team:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering and/or related field or equivalent experience, plus 8 years of related experience or Master’s degree and 6 years of related experience
    • Demonstrated ability to program in at least one programming language (e.g., such as C#, Java, .Net) and SQL scripts and other scripting languages
    • Strong understanding of solutions development methodologies (e.g. DevOps, Agile, Software Development Lifecycle, etc.)
    • Demonstrated expertise in developing and deploying enterprise solutions based on the Windchill platform
    • Experience in an Agile software development environment including experience as a scrum master.
    • Knowledge of CAD data management, Design Engineering and PLM practices and processes
    • Excellent organization, verbal / written communication and presentation skills with demonstrated business savvy to interact with management, users, contract resources, developers, vendors, and other Information Technology teams.
    • Demonstrated presentation, oral/written communication, and inter-personal skills including the ability to: anticipate, influence & adapt to a wide range of audiences; cultivate relationships and leverage organizational understanding to facilitate decision making and buy-in
