SDA GMI Network Engineer - (Sr Principal Systems Engineer)

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Gold Relocation package is applicable to this position if candidate is relocating to Scottsdale AZ. 
As a systems engineer for the SDA GMI, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for Network Systems Engineering support in the design, development and deployment of three operations centers CONUS and one internal site located in Scottsdale AZ.

The ideal candidate is skilled in the following areas:

• Experience with Cisco Router/Switching, VMWare, Redhat/Rocky Linux, WAN Troubleshooting, TCP/IP Protocol Suite
• CCNA level knowledge (or better) with deployment experience
• Firewall knowledge and how IP protocols work
• Ability to lift a top-of-rack network switch and/or Dell 7525 server onto rails (with help)
• Juniper OS experience a plus
• NETCONF/YANG experience a plus 
• KG-175 TACLANE experience

This position is located in Scottsdale Arizona, and on site work is required at least 80% of the time, Flexing 20% is permitted
