Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable at time from hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As an Advanced Mechanical Engineer for the Torpedo Systems Group (TSG), you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing, developing, demonstrating, producing, assembling, testing, and delivering torpedo SONAR arrays and electronic assemblies.

  • Designing and analyzing components and electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Creating and maintaining mechanical solid models and drawings using SolidWorks
  • Creating and managing bills of material (BOM) within Progeny’s data management systems
  • Developing fixtures and equipment to support testing and production efforts
  • Developing and presenting PowerPoint slides documenting design progress
  • Particiapting in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis
  • Developing technical presentations, recommendations, and written communications to explain technical issues to program management and the Navy customer team.

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $107,520.00 - USD $119,280.00 /Yr.
