The Network Design Engineer will provide technical analysis in data network planning, engineering, and design. You’ll deliver specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Entry level engineer, "0-2" years experince that is eager to learn new technologies, apply I.T. Engineering theory, and grow in their professional capacity. Should have a 4 year college level of understanding of I.T. Infrastructure and Computer Science concepts and technologies. Ideally some experience with building IT infrastructure assets such as servers, firewalls, routers, switches, storage devices, etc. Troubleshooting skills in relation to IT equipment is also desired. We’ll rely on you to test network systems and maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, hubs, bridges and gateways, Some use and/or application of technical principles, theories, and concepts; develops solutions to problems of limited to moderate scope and complexity.; work may be closely supervised while following specific, detailed instructions or under general supervision.
8570 compliant certification not required at start, but must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
