Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Ability to obain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of security measures for the protection of Rescue 21 computer systems, networks, and information.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify potential security gaps within the Rescue 21 infrastructure.
- As a member of the Cybersecurity Team, may support the system security design effort, security requirements analysis, and security requirements flow down to the program elements
- Assist in the development and updating of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures specific to Rescue 21.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of security tools and technologies such as firewalls and antivirus software.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are integrated into all systems and processes related to Rescue 21.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology developments.
- Supports the generation of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation for the program
- Participates in A&A activities

 

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, including risk management, threat analysis, and incident response.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.), networking concepts, and security tools.
- Working knowledge of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories
- Working knowledge of the system engineering process
- Working knowledge of verification and validation process
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH) are a plus but not required.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

 

Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Understanding of cloud security principles and practices.

- Working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $75,946.00 - USD $84,253.00 /Yr.
