CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Working successfully within a team, the Test Engineer (Sr Test Engr) will execute the test approach and document system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle. This will entail assisting in the following areas:

  • Develop preventive maintenance plans for test ranges and test equipment
  • Support troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of test ranges including hardware and software
  • Work with design engineering to develop design concepts for new test systems
  • Support implementation of range upgrades/new test systems including conceptual design, detailed configuration definition, and software development
  • Support future upgrades by researching emerging technologies and improved software/hardware

What you bring to the table:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree
  • Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories
  • Solid knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages
  • Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions

What sets you apart:

  • Experience with RF test systems and electronics test equipment
  • Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles and theories
  • Experience with LabVIEW programming language
  • Experience with reporting documentation of system design efforts and upgrade efforts
  • Knowledge of motion control and control systems including positioners, servo drives, controllers, motors, gearboxes, and encoders
  • Mechanical aptitude including knowledge of motors, gears, gearboxes, and bearings
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

 

NOTE: This position is 100% on-site in Marion, VA...it cannot be supported remotely.

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $92,500.00 - USD $102,500.00 /Yr.
