Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:


As a software engineer for the MLS Products business area, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for delivering high quality multi-level security applications.

 

What sets you apart:

  • A detail oriented Web/Software Developer with a focus on both frontend and backend technologies.
  • Develop, test, and maintain web-based applications using modern technologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to implement new features and improve user experiences.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and scalable code in line with team standards.
  • Support and maintain existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes in a timely manner.
  • Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Proficient in PHP and Python, with hands-on experience building and maintaining server-side applications.
  • Strong frontend development skills using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular.
  • Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, and performance optimization.
  • Basic understanding of DevOps practices and deployment pipelines.

Workplace Options:
This position is Hybrid/Flex.
While on-site, you will be a part of the GDMS San Antonio facility. 

 

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $115,674.00 - USD $128,325.00 /Yr.
