Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a systems engineer for the fleet ballistic missile program, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the sustainment of technology and hardware deployed on Ohio class submarines and their auxiliary equipment. Your primary task will be to participate in the Performance Evaluation effort. The task involves systematic data acquisition and analysis regarding the functional metrics of deployed equipment and the corresponding maintenance operations. This is to identify deficiencies in design, operational efficiency, obsolescence trends, and maintenance practices. The primary objective is to optimize system performance, curtail operational downtime, and ensure sustained system operability and efficiency across its entire service life. This will be achieved through strategic proposals and implementation of design improvements, maintenance regimen enhancements, training updates, documentation revisions, and sparing strategy optimization.
