Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Boasting a collaborative and global environment, we’ll rely on you to participate as an active team member knowledgeable of the networking environment including routers, switches, circuits, firewalls, wireless, intrusion prevention devices, etc. You’ll be a key contributor in supporting the GDMS network environment by implementing, supporting, monitoring, and troubleshooting network issues on physical or virtual network infrastructure components while coordinating with team members and/or vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform integration of software components, across multiple operating systems (Windows and Linux), hardware configurations (physical and virtual, including networking) and software packages.
  • Assess and support system maturation through agile processes, including:
    • Review of automated compilation, deployment and testing results.
    • Requirements based and operational testing.
    • Troubleshooting and writing software issue reports.
    • Supporting the development team bug resolution efforts.
    • Review and validation of fixes.
    • Incorporation of fixes into a stable software baseline.
    • Generating system status reports.
  • Verification and validation of testing documentation, including redlining as necessary.
  • Understanding of the components, sub-systems and the architecture as a whole.
  • Coordinate and interact with developers as well as engineering managers.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Windows and Linux based operating systems.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, bash/sh, Ansible)
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Cisco IOS.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques to resolve application, network or data issues.
  • Maintain a lab for additional testing, expansion, and troubleshooting.

What you bring to the table:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline/field and developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines/fields
  • Understanding of how domain interrelates with other components within the closed and enterprise networking environment
  • Expert experience within primary domain and resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $98,891.00 - USD $107,004.00 /Yr.
