Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience.

 

Clearance Requirements:

Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

Role and Position Objectives:

As a Technical lead Systems Architect within Advanced Electronics Systems that is part of the Land and Air Systems LOB, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for leading and driving architecture development for technical solutions responsible for the realization of complex systems. You’ll drive CONOPS, requirements definition, system modeling, performance analysis, design, integration, test, and verification of these systems.

 

The selected Technical Lead System Architect:

  • Applies advanced principles of engineering and management to solve problems involving the development of complex technology
  • Oversees and manages design and development processes as they relate to the engineering of products utilizing principles and technology of physics, mathematics, engineering, and related physical sciences
  • Utilizes computer technology to optimize all phases of work to include requirements management, modeling and simulation, risk analysis and formal trade study tools
  • Conduct research to identify leading edge and breakaway technologies
  • Researches and reports important shifts in technological landscape & implications to the company
  • Actively exposes high level risks & communicates the risk trade space & mitigation strategies to team
  • Collaborates with management across the company on research and development relevant to long-term objectives
  • Instrumental in establishing technology & process direction for the technical community
  • Directs development of technical strategies and teaming strategies across business units
  • Leads large proposals with identification of cross business unit strengths and technical shortcoming
  • Provides proposal teaming recommendation to shore up any shortcomings for optimum win probabilities
  • Contributes to shaping major market opportunities
     

What you bring to the table: 

The candidate must demonstrate extensive experience in areas related to the following technology areas: 

  • System modeling and simulation (MBSE)
  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams
  • Detailed understanding of the autonomous marketplace including major customers and industry competitors
  • Performance evaluation of GPS and Navigation solutions
  • Autonomous vehicle applications
  • Driving C5 solutions within Mission Command systems
  • Understanding of FPGA and DSP software development
  • Work effectively in a cross functional team as well as a diverse customer base
  • Develop testing criteria and execute validation of designs
  • Experience working in a fast-paced development environment focused on fielding complex signal processing solutions
  • Proficient in signal processing algorithm development in MATLAB or Python
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, verbal and written communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • Proven technical leadership skills ability to generate and deliver creative problem solutions
  • Strong ability to manage tasks and projects independently with urgency
  • In addition, the candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to travel worldwide, up to 25%

  • Deep understanding of decomposing mission CONOPS and requirements to drive solutions
  • Experience driving Design to Cost and Design to Unit Production Cost for effective approach to development

  • Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and influence management skills, with notable record of securing buy-in on concepts and ideas
  • Experienced in the art of negotiation with ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions

This position is fully on-site, OR Hybrid/Flex as desired.  THIS POSITION IS NOT 100% REMOTE

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $177,683.00 - USD $197,118.00 /Yr.
