CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Utilizing your knowledge of government property handling procedures, the Advanced Manufacturing Planning Specialist will perform production and material planning activities for a small program or factory. This will entail reviewing enterprise resource planning data or other inventory records and ensuring material availability for production builds, as well as coordinating needs with manufacturing, purchasing, warehouse and other support areas. We’ll rely on you to validate and process material purchase requisitions and shop orders to meet demand.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to gather and analyze material planning data
  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning concepts

Responsiblities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Strong understanding of IFS
  • Strong understanding of GDMS business policies and procedures
  • Monitors inventory levels and manages stock to avoid shortages or excess in the factory. Creates requisitions & Shop Orders
  • Monitors purchase orders and tracks their progress based on demand loaded
  • Analyzes material usage and works with MP Specialist to optimize inventory levels
  • Resolves material-related issues and discrepancies on the factory floor
  • Prepares and updates material planning reports and metrics to support the Factory Manager and MP Specialist
  • Determine, Monthly/Weekly/Daily production plan
  • Acquire common materials, boxes, chemicals, any as required material
  • Ensure plan is executable with available capacity and material
  • Ensure part shortages are addressed to meet plan
  • Set priorities to meet plan or schedule requests
  • Communicate commitments and possible opportunities (when things can fit into schedule)

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $25.86 - USD $27.74 /Hr.
