CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Utilizing problem-solving and decision-making skills, the Principal Manufacturing Planning Associate will represent the production and material planning function on multiple small programs, or one medium size program. This means you’ll create the “as-planned” bill of material in the material planning tool, utilize the production and material planning tools to create project shortage reports and review and incorporate engineering changes in the “as-planned” bill of material. You’ll also release, pick, and bond assemblies in the material planning tool, maintain accurate tracking records and control of material and expedite critical material through receiving, incoming inspection and the stockroom to meet program schedules when required.

What you bring to the table:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of the financial system and how material costing is created
  • Good understanding of the dollar mix of a bill of material, ABC codes and commodity types
  • Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Windows Suite

Responsiblities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Strong understanding of IFS
  • Strong understanding of GDMS business policies and procedures
  • Monitors inventory levels and manages stock to avoid shortages or excess in the factory. Creates requisitions & Shop Orders
  • Monitors purchase orders and tracks their progress based on demand loaded
  • Analyzes material usage and works with MP Specialist to optimize inventory levels
  • Resolves material-related issues and discrepancies on the factory floor
  • Prepares and updates material planning reports and metrics to support the Factory Manager and MP Specialist
  • Determine, Monthly/Weekly/Daily production plan
  • Acquire common materials, boxes, chemicals, any as required material
  • Ensure plan is executable with available capacity and material
  • Ensure part shortages are addressed to meet plan
  • Set priorities to meet plan or schedule requests
  • Communicate commitments and possible opportunities (when things can fit into schedule)

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $31.60 - USD $33.89 /Hr.
