Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As a seasoned leader, you’ll be a subject matter expert in production planning and material requirements tools, sharing your knowledge with others in the organization. We’ll rely on you to develop detailed schedules, production plans and capacity plans along with complex bills of material for large programs. The Advanced Manufacturing Planning Specialist will review work authorization documents and generate material program plans and coordinate kick-off meetings with functional departments to communicate program goals and objectives.

What you bring to the table:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Effective risk management skills to identify and implement risk reduction plan
  • Ability to coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering
  • Skilled at complex negotiations with customers and/or suppliers

Responsibilites include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Strong understanding of IFS
  • Manages the procurement process including, Imports, creates, and manages BOMs in IFS, IFS setup for new PAs, Create Customer orders, etc until receipt of material.
  • Prepare and hold procurement kickoff meetings
  • Strong understanding of PMDLink
  • Strong understanding of GDMS business policies and procedures
  • Loads demand for all factory products in IFS.
  • Prepares reports on scheduling performance & key metrics for management review
  • Executes requisitions
  • Works with SCM buyers for purchase orders, quotes, & on time delivery
  • Leads and supports material requests for proposals. Works with bidding and estimating for material value, quotes, and any information required for proposals. Writes BOEs to support proposals
  • Performs labor forecasts for proposals for both planning and MP Specialist
  • Provides material slides for management reviews
  • Cost Account Managers for Earned Value
  • Understands & manages cost of material procured. Sets target pricing for buyers
  • Understands who critical suppliers are to the programs
  • Supports supplier negotiations of material
  • Supports NDA generation
  • Works across functions for material procurement
  • Strong analytical, written, & communication skills
  • Strong understanding of business needs, intellectual property, & supplier partnership development
  • Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Supplier 360, IFS, Power BI, and all Supply Chain Systems and tools
  • Manage Change Notice incorporation
  • Supports Supplier audits and evaluations
  • May require travel

Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $89,032.00 - USD $96,335.00 /Yr.
