Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret clearance is preferred at time of hire.  The selected candidate must be able to obtain a clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. 

Responsibilities for this Position

Overview:
The Program Quality Engineer (PQE) will be responsible for ensuring that all products and services meet customer and company quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle. The PQE will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and program management, to identify and mitigate quality risks, implement quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance plans and procedures for assigned programs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve quality issues.
  • Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure that quality requirements are integrated into product design and production processes.
  • Monitor program performance metrics and report on quality trends and issues to senior management.
  • Participate in program reviews and provide quality-related input and recommendations.
  • Support customer and regulatory audits, including preparation and follow-up activities.
  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Ensure that all quality documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and software, such as statistical analysis, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards relevant to the defense industry.
  • Experience with supplier quality management and development.

Combined Salary Range

USD $113,873.00 - USD $126,327.00 /Yr.
